My name is James and I can help you learn science. I can help you if you already love science and you want to get even better. I can help you if you hate science and just need to get through it. And I can help you if you're scared of science and think that you just can't do it. Wherever the starting point, I can make sure you hit or beat your target. What's more I'll it make it fun*! I promise!

I have over ten years teaching experience - from foundation tier to Oxbridge entrance and everything else in between. I can work with you to find a way that you like to learn and then teach you that way. I especially enjoy working with students who have had negative experiences of science teaching, who have have SEND, or who are neurodiverse.

I'm an ex Head of Department and I've written successful curriculum plans for GCSE and A Level. I'm an Approved Examiner for GCSE and 'A' Level and I know how best to prepare students for the rigours of exams. I have an enhanced DBS certificate which is automatically updated every year. I have a huge range of science-based dad jokes. I do not have leather armpatches on my jacket.
